1. Purpose of Moderation
Chyrper moderation is designed to protect platform safety, preserve structured discussion, and maintain community trust.
Moderation is not intended to suppress disagreement. It is intended to prevent abuse, deception, unlawful conduct, manipulation, and behavior that undermines platform integrity.
2. Moderation Authority
Moderation may occur at both community and platform levels.
Community Owners define community rules and scope, manage moderator roles, and oversee publishing and store behavior inside their communities.
Community Moderators enforce community standards and platform rules within granted permissions, review reports, and apply permitted enforcement actions.
Chyrper Admin may intervene for legal compliance, payment integrity, safety, abuse prevention, ownership recovery, continuity, or major governance failures.
- Community Owners may define and manage local governance, subject to platform-wide rules.
- Community Moderators may act only within permissions granted by community and platform policy.
- Chyrper Admin may override community-level decisions when required by platform obligations.
Community moderation does not remove Chyrper's right to enforce platform-wide rules. Platform-level action may override community-level decisions when required.
3. Community Rules and Scope
Each community may set rules, scope, posting standards, and moderation philosophy, provided those rules do not conflict with Chyrper-wide policies, legal obligations, payment obligations, or safety requirements.
Users are responsible for understanding and following the rules of each community they join.
4. Content Subject to Moderation
Moderation may apply to any platform content or behavior, including:
- Profile content, usernames, display names, bios, links, and metadata
- Claims, counters, deep dives, comments, community posts, newsletters, activities, quizzes, and prompts
- Images, audio, video posts, embedded media, and AI-assisted content
- Store listings, merch products, subscription offers, promotions, order workflows, refund-request workflows, and seller behavior
- Reports, abuse signals, payment integrity signals, and relevant activity logs
5. Prohibited Content and Conduct
Users may not use Chyrper to create, publish, promote, sell, organize, or distribute content or activity that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, exploitative, malicious, infringing, or harmful.
Examples include:
- Harassment, threats, targeted abuse, or intimidation
- Doxxing or sharing private personal information without permission
- Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, and deceptive commerce behavior
- Malware, malicious links, attempts to compromise systems, or platform interference
- Ranking, voting, visibility, or system-manipulation attempts
- Ban or suspension evasion, including alternate-account abuse
- IP, privacy, or publicity rights violations
- Use of AI-assisted tools to create unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content
- Content that violates applicable law, payment processor rules, or Chyrper policies
6. Arena-Specific Standards
Arena allows structured disagreement and strong critique, but not harassment, spam, deception, or bad-faith abuse.
Claims and counters should be made in good faith. Deep Dives should provide substantive analysis and not be used for low-effort repetition or manipulation.
Off-topic, abusive, unlawful, deceptive, or manipulative Arena activity may be restricted, removed, or otherwise moderated.
7. AI-Assisted Content
AI-assisted output remains the responsibility of the user who reviews, approves, and uses it.
AI-assisted content is moderated under the same policy standards as human-authored content.
AI Assistant does not have moderation authority. It cannot warn, suspend, ban, remove, or reinstate users, issue platform enforcement decisions, change community rules, or transfer governance authority.
AI Assistant suggestions may be reviewed by humans but do not replace moderator or admin judgment.
8. Moderation Actions
Depending on the situation, Chyrper or authorized community moderators may take one or more actions, including:
- No action after review
- Warning or guidance
- Content labeling or visibility reduction
- Content editing requests
- Content removal, hiding, or archiving
- Comment, post, claim, counter, or Deep Dive restrictions
- Community posting restrictions
- Temporary suspension from a community
- Removal from a community
- Community ban
- Account-level suspension or termination
- Store, subscription, publishing, or AI Assistant restrictions
- Platform-level intervention by Chyrper Admin
Moderation action may be immediate when necessary to protect users, communities, payment integrity, legal compliance, or platform safety.
9. Warnings, Suspensions, Bans, and Removals
Moderation may escalate based on severity, repetition, risk, and intent. A first violation may result in a warning, but Chyrper is not required to issue a warning before taking stronger action.
Serious violations may result in immediate removal, suspension, ban, store restriction, or account termination. Examples include fraud, threats, doxxing, malicious activity, illegal conduct, repeated abuse, or attempts to evade enforcement.
10. Moderation Logs and Governance Visibility
Chyrper may maintain moderation and governance records, including warnings, suspensions, bans, reinstatements, ownership actions, and enforcement outcomes.
Some governance signals may be publicly visible where relevant to transparency. Other records may remain private to protect privacy, abuse-report integrity, legal obligations, payment security, and platform safety.
11. Reports and Review
Users may report content, accounts, communities, store listings, orders, refund behavior, subscriptions, or policy violations.
Reports may be reviewed by community moderators, owners, Chyrper Admin, and/or platform systems. Submitting a report does not guarantee removal or a specific action.
12. Appeals and Reconsideration
Where an appeal path is available, users may request reconsideration of moderation outcomes.
Appeals should identify the specific action being challenged, relevant context and evidence, and why the decision should be changed.
Chyrper may uphold, modify, reverse, or escalate a decision. Frivolous, repetitive, dishonest, abusive, or retaliatory appeals may be limited or denied. When review is complete, a decision may be treated as final unless a new material fact is presented.
13. Platform-Level Intervention
Chyrper may intervene directly in communities, stores, subscriptions, AI access, publishing surfaces, or account permissions when necessary for safety, legal compliance, payment integrity, ownership recovery, abuse prevention, or continuity.
Intervention may include feature restriction, content removal, store pause or disable, access limitation, suspension, or ownership action.
14. Community Owner and Moderator Responsibilities
Community owners and moderators must use moderation tools responsibly. They may not use moderation authority to harass users, conceal abuse, facilitate fraud, retaliate against good-faith users, evade platform rules, or create unsafe communities.
Chyrper may remove moderators, transfer ownership, restrict community tools, or take platform-level action if community governance is abused, abandoned, deceptive, unlawful, or harmful.
15. Store and Commerce Moderation
Community commerce is subject to moderation and payment-integrity controls.
Chyrper may remove or restrict listings, promotions, products, subscription offers, checkout access, payout access, refund workflows, or store operation where policy, legal, safety, abuse, or processor requirements are implicated.
Sellers are responsible for accurate listings, lawful products, fulfillment, shipping, customer communication, and compliance with all applicable requirements.
16. Private Information and Safety Limits
Moderation decisions may consider information that is not publicly displayed, including reports, abuse signals, account history, payment status, security logs, private community access, or other safety-relevant context.
Chyrper is not required to disclose private reports, internal systems, enforcement methods, moderator notes, security signals, payment processor information, or sensitive user data when explaining a moderation decision.
17. Consistency and Discretion
Chyrper aims to apply moderation consistently, but not every situation is identical. Context, severity, intent, user history, community rules, legal risk, safety risk, and platform impact may affect the moderation response.
Chyrper may exercise discretion when enforcing this policy, including taking no action, taking immediate action, escalating a matter, or applying different remedies based on the circumstances.
18. Changes to This Policy
Chyrper may update this Moderation Policy periodically.
Material updates may be accompanied by additional notice through account, in-product, or email channels where appropriate.
Continued use after updates become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
